چکیده
Understanding the dynamic behavior of Lightweight Aggregate Self-Compacting Concrete (LWASCC) is importance to safety concrete structures serving in loading conditions. In this study, fundamental properties LWASCC with three types LWA were investigated by impact resonance method. Results show that elastic and shear modulus generally decrease increase volume fraction, whereas exert limited influence on Poisson’s ratio. The good linear dependence upon compressive strength. inclusion significantly increases damping ratio, indicating enhanced capacity under ratio improved 2.0%, 4.4%, 2.9% when adding 1% (by volume) expanded clay, rubber, polystyrene, respectively. strength performances are highly influenced intrinsic (elastic modulus, capacity, wettability, etc.) geometrical characteristics (size, surface roughness, LWA, as well LWA-matrix bonding capacity.

Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

For rehabilitation of damaged concrete structures, the durability of repair overlay is a very important issue. Self-compacting concretes (SCC) are known as a suitable repair overlay materials. In this study, the durability of different self-compacting lightweight aggregate concretes (LWSCC) and effect of lightweight aggregate type on them is investigated. 3 mix designs of LWSCC containing three...

self-desiccation is the major source of autogenous shrinkage and crack formation in low water-binder ratio (w/b) concretes which can be reduced by internal curing. in this paper performance of high strength self consolidating concrete (hs-scc) with w/b of 0.28 and 0.33 including autogenous shrinkage, drying shrinkage, compressive strength, and resistance to freezing-thawing was investigated. th...
